About this mod Machine translation
introduce
Have you ever felt like minutes are a little lacking? Maybe the settlement system feels boring, extra, or just lacks real progression. Maybe even wonder why minutes seem less relevant the more you play? This mode aims to solve this problem by expanding your minions based on your settlement and increasing their ability to help the Commonwealth. You are no longer the only one helping people. Nothing will fall entirely on the general.
Now, you have an army.
feature
Adds militia patrols between settlements you control. These patrols follow the same path as the provider.
Militia patrols automatically counterattack enemies who attack them.
Choose from three, two or one patrol.
Supports up to 100 settlements, including those created by mods.
Up to 595 patrols can be conducted even without mod-based settlements!
Integrated into the Nuka World questline, but does not require DLC.
Remember, the attacker is the enemy of the minuter!
FAQ
How do I start using this mod?
The mod will be activated once you install it, but patrols will not occur until you complete the first step of the mission.
How do I patrol?
Pick up some settlements! Because this mod can add so many NPCs, settlements can only be patrolled if they have some food, water, or defense. As long as at least one of these values is non-zero, you're good!
What if I accidentally kill one?
don’t worry! If you accidentally kill a patrol car, they will automatically respawn.
What should I do if I don't want to do so many patrols?
If you already have a lot of settlements to patrol, but don't want that many people, I recommend using a small number of NPC patrols. Remove the mod, load the game, save, then reinstall next.
Why didn't I see any patrols?
There may be several reasons. You probably don't have enough settlements to have a good chance of encountering them. Maybe the settlements didn't produce anything. Maybe you're not a general for those minutes. It will still take a while for this mod to "catch up" to existing saves, so give it time. With every settlement in the original game, that's less than an hour. This can take several hours of gameplay for every solution supported by this mod (up to 100!).
Why did my patrol attack me?
You've gone overcoat and started helping the attackers target the Commonwealth. If you want things to go back to the way they were, then you're going to have to clean up your act and "deal with" the attacker you're helping. Otherwise, you can go patrol it yourself. If they attack you like this, they won't respawn, so it can be done.
How to install this mod manually?
Although the preferred installation is to use the mod manager, you can download and unzip the zip and then add YouAndWhatArmy.BA2 from the data directory. Then select one of the three ESP files in the esps directory (they are numbered according to the number of people you want to patrol each minute). Remove the number at the end of the filename so it ends up just YouAndWhatArmy.esp
Does this apply to mods like We Are The Minutemen?
Definitely! I actually set up this mod so that not only does it work with We Are the Minutemen, but it also uses the settler model as the actor base instead of the default minutes. This means mods like Better Settlers can also use and improve upon this. In fact, as far as I know, this mod should be compatible with anything that doesn't completely remove minutes or settlers.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
