Modular vault 88 rooms

Add modular components to the Arch 88 room using a frame+wall/door/window or frame+column system. It takes more work to build your room, but you have more control over the placement of doors, windows, walls or columns. You can switch parts at will.

Alternate module for the Vault 88 Building: Vault 88 Room Corners Plus

10/12/16 - Work on ramps, tracks and bridges in the atrium and rooms.

Optional file: More railings! and the ability to overlap stairways with single-sided railings

Current Room: Cafeteria, Clinic, General, Nursery, Dormitory, Security

Frame: A single frame has a specific set of walls that can be attached. The same goes for corner frames. If something doesn't fit snugly, make sure you have something that fits. Sometimes walls will try to align with adjacent frames, so placement must be precise. Walls from different rooms can be blended together if that's what you want. If you simply can't place a part where it should be, please report it.

Exception: The frame and floor of a cafeteria are separate objects, so the floor must be placed within the frame in the same manner as the walls. This is due to the style and alternating colors of the tile floors. This functionality can be added to a room set if desired. However, don't complicate other rooms unnecessarily.

Columns: Two styles, with or without a bottom border, including short and tall columns. The borders don't blend well when the columns are placed next to each other. This may be a limitation of the wallpaper. Will try to revisit and see if it can be improved.

The short columns are attached only to the top of the ceiling of the curved piece. Tall columns will connect to any high ceiling CORNER ONLY. Columns can also be connected to each other, but be careful as it can affect how NPCs navigate the room.

How about the column:

Requires Vault-tec Workshop DLC.

compatibility:

No menu changes, no conflicts. Objects will appear in their respective categories. This mod is well optimized and lightweight. It uses a base set of objects and swaps the textures for all rooms. It leverages existing in-game material files to perform these exchanges. Simple and efficient.

Modular safe 88 rooms can accommodate more safes

Add Lavoratory, Deluxe 1,2,3,4, Barber, 2,3,4, School 1 and 2, Storage wallpapers and More Vault Rooms custom wallpapers of Nuka Cola and Sunset Sarsaparilla. Each room category has a set of frames and then multiple wallpapers to choose from.

The way I do material swapping for custom wallpapers involves passing the esp/BGSM file path to another mod's assets. I don't copy any assets. BGSM material files just point to more Vault Rooms custom textures.

This involves a lot of data entry, so there may be missing wallpapers, placement issues, or other issues. Please report. Menus can be jumbled up with all of these objects, and trying to sort them correctly can be a challenge. Typically, my projects come from more Vault Rooms objects.

Be sure to follow the loading order listed below.

Require:

More Vault Rooms - Load first

Modular vault 88 rooms must be loaded second

Last loaded modular vault 88 room for more safe room add-ons.

Vault-tec workshop DLC is required for both main mods and add-ons.

The Farharbor DLC just needs to be loaded - I don't maintain multiple files for this add-on, so some wallpapers require the Farharbor DLC.

Been thinking about the atrium and what I would do with it. I'm currently updating the existing atrium section with the vaulted corner addition (2 doors, making sure the wallpaper matches and providing both wallpaper versions) so will go ahead and upload that file once completed. I think it would be better to have it available rather than having everyone wait for the modular atrium, which could take weeks. Let's remember, Bethesda has a game development team and years...so, give me some time.

I would probably start with single levels and corners first. Wouldn't mind any thoughts or suggesti …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
