Nuka World DLC

A standalone version of the Crafted Laser Rifle, an energy version of the Nuka World Crafted Rifle, will appear in the upcoming mission mod Mind Games. If you're not familiar with Mind Games, it's a quest mod that tells the story of Nick Valentine and Kellogg as you uncover a new detective case. You can view a demo of it here.

Features:

A new energy weapon based on the Nuclear World handcrafted rifle, with 36 attachments. The weapon uses a modified version of the original Handmade Rifle animation, but otherwise it remains faithful to the original.

ESL tag so it doesn't take up a slot in your load order.

background:

One of the new companions in Mind Games is a weaponsmith, and when you meet her, she's carrying a handmade rifle. Later in the story, she decides to upgrade it, using SCIENCE! Convert the bolt to a combined kinetic energy recovery and cooling system. She creates an additional ID for the player.

How to obtain:

Because this weapon is meant to be obtained at a specific point in the Mind Games story, it is not added to any tier lists here. Instead, it can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench under the "Craft Laser Rifle" category. This requires Level 2 Science! and Level 3 Gun Junkie.

Prerequisites:

Fallout 4 version 1.10.163 or higher (in other words, both old and next-gen will work)

compatibility:

The animations are independent of the vanilla animations, so if you replace the vanilla craft rifle with a right hand, you don't need the right hand patch.
