Updated on October 25th:

  • 1.3 Improve texture and normalize colors between headgear and uniform.

Version 1.2

Fixed an incompatibility issue with Tumbajamba's Militia armor mod by changing to a custom clothing entry. This should also avoid any compatibility issues with other mods.

Changed the officer's vest holster model to a better looking holster model for the railway armor jacket. Also added this holster to the general's field uniform

Fixed some missing edits inherited from W.A.T.M.

Changed weapon editing to master version for more consistent level gating. There are now lists of "low", "medium" and "high" level weapons, and units will be upgraded to these weapons as the player levels up.

The standard version is now packaged. Only the production version and the moderator file that does not change the weapon are uploaded together. You can choose one of the three to install according to your needs.

Compatible, only for next generation and old generation

Far Harbor and Nuka World

Requires editing of Militia NPC entries (inherited from WATM's editing, clothing (all MMs, Preston, Sturges, Ronnie Shaw, Clint & Wire). Militia weapons and clothing/armor level list. Outfits for all MMs, from laser guns to various conventional weapons (submachine guns, battle rifles, etc.)

I want an overhaul of the militia, standardizing the factions into military factions similar to the "Federal Provisional Government". What will MM become when the Sole Survivor's flag flies over all settlements in the Commonwealth. Why is MM dressed in rags when the Sole Survivor has a collection of various weapons and armor? What I wanted was the look of a troop that had discovered a large number of leftover caches of military uniforms and equipment, some police, some military. I tried to stick to repurposing items that were already in the original game to keep a more grounded flavor. With a few exceptions, all content comes from in-game assets. You'll find that the MM comes equipped with a variety of items as shown below, and as you level up it becomes more equipped. Everything can be crafted in the Chemical Station under the "Milsurp Minutemen" category (the general's uniform and hat require the Castle Armory to be unlocked to craft). These items enable ballistic weaving. Their weapon tier list has opened up to more variety, including submachine guns, battle rifles, Nuka World handmade rifles, and a variety of other attachment options. Compatible with We Are The Minutemen (I brought the NPC editing from WATM to MM in this mod, so load this mod under WATM and it should work well together. FCOM has been checked and is naturally compatible, as it uses vanilla clothing and weapon lists, and my editing should continue (except for FCOM's "veterans" who use custom clothing).

Below you'll find an overview of the various items added by this mod:

The Fatigues are redesigned Army Fatigues, with boots taken from the Mechanic Jumpsuit, designed to mimic the feel of militiamen using old police or coast guard uniforms found in pre-war inventories. Fatigue has a rolled-up sleeves variant that can be changed to at the armor workbench and has a chance to spawn naturally. Offers an Off Duty variant for the Garrison Outfit. The jumpsuit's boots were replaced with country squire's boots to provide variety as fatigue used the jumpsuit's original boots. Finally, the Vertical Bird pilot wears a flight suit with a bomber jacket over it. Thanks to Satojo for the bomber jacket. All clothing options, including these, have Ballistic Weave enabled.

The Utility Cap is a redesigned and slightly remodeled version of the MacCready Hat, itself based on the USMC Utility Co …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
