About this mod Machine translation

With this mod you can:

Make publicity!

Fear sells!

Promote war!

Promote peace!

How ironic!

Improve yourself!

Go to dictatorship!

Go Orwell!

Explain to the settlers why they must starve to death!

Promote Preston Garvey! ...and more!

Why I do this:

I think that since the Sole Survivor comes from a specific pre-war era where propaganda of all kinds (public and private) was very prevalent, he/she may have been forced to use similar methods to deliver their message(s) to the citizens of the Commonwealth. In trying to maintain a Fallout mentality, these slogans allow players to take on opposite sides of some very important themes. For example, players can promote war or peace; kill synths or free synths. Some posters also reference actual promotional posters used in real life and the Fallout universe, as well as in pop culture.

What this mod does:

Added 26 separate militia propaganda (and similar) posters

Posters can be found at Decorations - Wall Decorations - Signs

(*should*) be fully compatible with other mods and DLC

Building one requires 2 plastics and 2 adhesives

How to install:

  • Install using Mod Manager

Or do it manually:

  • Copy the "Data" folder from the download to your Fallout 4 main folder

2.Activate.esp

Done!

Optional patches provided by other authors:

KazFoxsen's paper component (enable the paper component and change the poster to produce paper)

Settlement keywords expanded by Sharlikran

Minutemen Overhaul 2.0 by Karel2015 (Adds poster to Minutemen decoration menu)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
