Accurate setting guarantee
The federal militia was known as a "regional power" in its prime, and even in their current state, conversations refer to them as an army. If they were almost indistinguishable from wasteland scavengers, except for their hats, they wouldn't really be an army. The militia has existed as a powerful force for more than a hundred years, since the defense of Diamond City. The militia operated in the castle for 60 years and was supposed to be a well-trained and uniformed fighting force. Militias will have the ability and necessity to train their warriors and put them in recognizable uniforms. The militias were able to do this using a combination of pre-war surplus and post-war textiles. The design of this armor is based on that worn by the NCR and is a great example of post-war production capabilities. Without the Institute, the Federation Provisional Government might be comparable to other big names in the Fallout setting.
More details/compatibility
This is a complete tier list replacement for the Militia Armor. It will most likely not be compatible with other mods that affect the Militia armor class list. These costumes can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench. Each armor is roughly balanced around vanilla combat armor. This gives the militia more staying power in gunfights, knife fights, laser battles or deathclaw battles. Armor will also appear on Militia based on your level, similar to the refresh rate of vanilla combat armor. This mod replaces all non-unique militia outfits. Preston Garvey and the General's costumes remain the same. All outfits do not have any customization options. They are designed as full-body pieces to provide a satisfying visual design and distinction when viewing the Militia. There are 26 male meshes and 4 female meshes (1 of which is unique). Ballistic knitting can be added to all garments. All costumes can be equipped with leg and arm armor on the outside. Yes, this may make them overpowered. Please use at your own discretion.
Developer comments:
This is a module that I (original author Superpug200, the same below) have been developing for a long time. I've been teaching myself how this stuff works through trial and error, if you find any issues please let me know and I'll try to push a fix.
I love the Minutemen. It's a shame they didn't get any cosmetic love in the base game. I understand that they're trying to rely heavily on the name "militia" as the reason for who they are, but I find that neither appealing nor logical. I used NCR uniforms as the base design because they are cool. There are other mods that can put NCR uniforms on militiamen, and even complete replacements, but I didn't want to just paint my team members off. I wanted to give them something unique.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
