About this mod Machine translation

This mod will add military rifles from Fallout New Vegas, based on the legendary M16 platform, with fully independent assets and animations

As shown in the picture, it is still a 17-year-old product of the deedpool boss. Compared with other AR modules I posted, it is relatively simple and does not have so many accessories. However, if you want a lore friendly, or an old radiation-flavored gaming experience, then this AR is your best choice. (By the way, I want to complain about the title that other people posted before. I can understand using a machine to translate it. After all, that’s what I do myself, but at least it needs to be polished a little. It doesn’t matter how weird it sounds like a service rifle!)

This mod is a remake of the Assault Carbine and Military Rifle mods. It will add military rifles from Fallout New Vegas, based on the legendary M16 platform, with fully independent models, textures and animations.

describe

This mod combines 3 FNV weapons - Military Rifle, Assault Carbine and Marksman Carbine - into one fully customizable weapon. Every part of the weapon is individually modifiable, meaning you can achieve any visual appearance or performance you want. Every part of this mod was made completely from scratch, which means it is no longer compatible with Assault Carbine and Military Rifle patches or addons. However, you can still use both mods at the same time. Rifles will appear in the world starting at level 10 as Vendors, Raiders, Gunners, and Nuke World Raiders.

Unlike the original Assault Carbine and Service Rifle mods, this rifle features a deeper customization system. Each accessory has a unique look, and most of them are made from scratch. The properties of your rifle will vary - from a gun weaker than an assault rifle to one of the strongest pieces of equipment in the game. Stickers, liveries, and high-tech attachments require magazines to unlock. For livery, you need to find the original magazine (like Atomic Kitten). Magazines that unlock stickers and high-tech attachments can be purchased from Arturo and KL-E-0. Note that the unique variants in the Treasure Hunt mission do not have the option to be crafted at a workbench.

Upper receiver modification

In this mod you can modify the upper receiver individually, the stock receiver category has been renamed to Trigger Mechanism to avoid confusion.

Replacing the upper receiver will change damage, VATS efficiency, and range modifications. You have a total of 12 upper receiver options

Iron sights and sights

Iron sights and scope options will vary depending on the upper receiver chosen, but the options available are very similar for both.

With specific military receivers, you can choose from a simple iron sight, a reflex sight, or one of 6 scopes. When you choose a Marksman Receiver, you'll have your choice of 3 iron sights, reflex sights, and 7 scopes

Lower receiver and magazine

The lower receiver can also be modified separately. They affect the weapon's damage, rate of fire, and caliber. Individually convertible magazines are available for the 5.56mm and 5mm receivers. .38 (9mm) and 7.62 receivers as well as some unique variants will not have magazine modification options. You have 12 lower receiver options and 8 magazine options (5.56 and 5mm receivers only)

barrel

Just like any other vanilla weapon, military rifles come with many barrel options. You can choose any of the 13 that best suits your playstyle - from short barrels for meeting love around corners or extremely long barrels for precise sniping

gun butt

This mod comes with 10 types of stocks - from makeshift makeshift stocks to high-tech recoil compensating stocks

muzzle

In addition to the barrel, you can install one of 5 muzzle attachments to help reduce recoil or melee attacks. Additionally, the bayonet is available as a separate melee weapon and can be purchased from any weapons vendor

unique

Many of my weapon mods include a handful of unique gun variants, and this one is no diffe …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
