Pre-MOD: Militarized Militia:

Author's words:

A substantial yet grounded expansion to Militarized Minutemen by Corvalho1, adding new features such as new camouflage patterns, insignias, ranks, tactical accessories, headgear and clothing. A number of QOL improvements have also been added, such as making clothing craftable, removing leather/combat armor from NPC militia, and various bug fixes.

What's this?

This mod is Corvalho1's unofficial but approved "expansion pack" for the militarized militia. The Militarized Militia Uniforms, Patches and Badges add-on does exactly what it says on the tin - it adds a host of new shoulder patches, rank insignia, camouflage patterns and other military identifying symbols. This mod also adds wearable flag patches and rank insignia to the militia uniform's plate holder.

Occupational patch (left shoulder only)

Added a new career patch that can be worn on the left shoulder of every Militia uniform variant added to the Militia Militia. These patches are used to distinguish the different roles and professions of personnel within the Commonwealth Militia.

These patches have also been integrated into the NPC Militia upgrade list.

New rank insignia

Some new rank insignia have also been added.

I chose the ranks of the United States Army that existed between 1955 and 1968 because I believe this period best depicts the setting of the Fallout series. Therefore, please note that some modern grades are omitted.

Enlisted/Noncommissioned Officer

Added low visibility variants for ranks already included in the Militarized Militia mod.

In addition, a new first-level military rank has been added.

expert

I also provide rank badges for specialists.

Enlisted/Noncommissioned Officer and Specialist rank insignia may be worn on the shoulder, collar, or tactical vest.

Warrant Officer/Commissioned Officer

Since rank insignia can now be worn on tactical vests and collars, I have added rank insignia for Warrant Officers and Commissioned Officers.

These badges may only be worn on a tactical vest or collar.

Board carrier modification

Mark Patches from the Militarized Militia mod can now be worn on the mod's plate holder. Additionally, I've added spots where you can wear rank badges.

Bottle and magazine dump bags are also available as optional modifications to the plate carrier.

The magazine dump bag reduces reload time by about half a second.

Water canteens increase chances of survival in the wasteland.

Combat belts are also available on certain outfits.

new identification symbol

Additionally, new identification badges for medical and military police personnel are included. These are worn in place of shoulder grade patches.

These have also been included in the graded list.

New shoulder tag

Hips can now be added to militarized militia uniforms via modification or upgrade lists.

Available in full color and low visibility versions.

These are also added to the list of upgraded NPC militia.

new camouflage pattern

New disguises have been added, some of which are used for upgraded NPCs:

  • Forest Mode: A non-digital jungle mode based on the Singapore Army No.4 mode.
  • Navy pattern: a naval variant of the forest pattern.
  • Tiger Stripe: Green Tigerstripe pattern.
  • Woodland DPM: Destructive pattern material for woodlands.
  • 1942 Frog Skin: U.S. Marine Corps World War II frog skin pattern
  • Woodland ERDL: A leaf-inspired pattern developed in 1948 for use in woodland environments.
  • Winter ERDL: Woodland ERDL suitable for winter use (click to view screenshot) - Includes cold weather board rack
  • Desert: A mix of DBDU and DCU modes for desert environments, perfect for Nuka-Worl …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
