Mechanic Omega - Antagonist Mission Mod
Antagonist Quest is a series of planned mods (this is the first). Each contains new enemies, weapons, and armor, all housed in a new dungeon, and each dungeon ends with a unique boss that can be defeated and looted.
What's in the module?
A secret research facility, a bunch of robots and a suit of powered armor with more attachments than a brain can comprehend.
Where do I start?
Behind the concrete building at the Robot Processing Yard is a hatch (pictured above if you're stuck).
What should I expect?
Violence, over-the-top terminal-based lore, and terrible voice acting.
What level should I reach?
The enemies inside are leveled for players, but I still recommend at least level 5 as the bosses are pretty tough.
Where is my turret robot companion?
Well, he should be either in the Mechanic's Sanctuary or in the main entrance after you go through the dungeon.
Big thanks to pinedog (for retexturing the power armor to beautiful heights in version 1.2.
Also thanks to SavrenX for the robot texture elements (
Notes:
- This mod requires Auto Workshop and Nuka World DLC.
- I (original author RascalArt, the same below) have never done level design before. Please be gentle.
- After looting power armor from a boss, attachments would sometimes "float". Take it to the PA bench and scroll through the torso mod a few times and this should set it up correctly.
- Attachments may "stack" when scrolling through Power Armor mods. As far as I know, this is a common problem. Once you get into the armor, the "stack" mod disappears.
- This mod makes heavy use of the Mechanic armor from the DLC. I would recommend this high quality texture mod to be used with this:
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
