About this mod Machine translation

==Requirements==

Automatron DLC, that's it! This is the only DLC you need. No other mod requires aether.

==Short description==

This mod fixes the entire Mechanist's lair, it also expands the build area to include the entire cell. Collapsed corridors have also been cleared, all new spaces available are full navigation meshes, and the Settler Sandbox has been expanded. Now finally, instead of just that room you get, the entire facility is yours. As a bonus, I've added another way to get Protectron's Gaze without killing mechanics or pickpocketing them!

==Detailed description==

"The Machinist has a whole bunch of robots at their disposal, so why wouldn't the geniuses of Robotics use their army of robots to repair their awesome secret base? This mod repairs and restores the entire Machinist's lair facility, fixing collapsed corridors, doors, walls, walkways, rooms and cleaning up all the junk. Fully tested and Nav-Meshed."

So after defeating the Mechs and their robot army, I was pretty disappointed with the sorry excuse for the facility I was given. The mechanics' quarters in particular were a dilapidated mess with trash and rubble everywhere, the corridors even collapsed! The worst part? Isabelle is sleeping under the ceiling and it looks like it will collapse on her at any moment! Well, after not being able to find a mod that would allow me to clean up the mess, I fired up the Creation Kit to fix the problem, and after fixing the mechanic's quarters, I started fixing another room. Eventually I decided to just fix the entire cell, which I found to be reasonable since the mechanics already had (or had) all these robots at their disposal, so why didn't they clean up the base a little so it would be nice and livable? Why does my top floor bedroom have to be located next to a literal garbage dump with a highly radioactive leaking reactor?

Now it's very well equipped, it's been fixed and extended and I now use it as my main base of operations where I keep everything. For example, if you feel like you need a prison, not only is the holding cell perfect, but the ample cells and glass ceiling make it the perfect place for a Power Armor collection display. This model's open, extra-large warehouse is perfect for building the large, complex machines introduced by the Contractions DLC, the Zoo, and even the Vault!

Throughout the cell: I repaired and replaced the broken walls, ceiling, and floor, removed all the skeletons and ghoul corpses, cleaned out all the trash piles and rubble, and removed most of the dirt decals, adding and replacing lighting here and there. This model won't make the facility look sparkling and pre-war, but it will make it cleaner and more functional, in a friendly way. I also added doors for the bulkhead that Ada opens up, the doors totally look beautiful and they feel like they should be in the game first.

Mechanic's Quarters: On top of things mentioned, I cleared out the collapsed hallway and added a bathroom. Interestingly, there isn't a single bathroom in the entire cell (if you don't count the holding cells), so this mod adds one! Now Isabelle and potential settlers can imagine one of the most basic human needs without stinking all the time! I also added a chemical station to the workstation area, which is connected to the main settling shop. Isabelle's room was also cleaned up and decorated to suit her personality, and I added an Expert Locked Safe next to her bed that contains a spare copy of the Mechanic's Loot + Protectron's Gaze, so you'll no longer have to kill her or pickpocket her just to get this unique laser pistol. I also added animated doors to all the rooms for privacy!

Main Room: I have repaired the broken catwalk. As of now, you can't fix the catwalk without scrapping the whole thing and rebuilding it with the parts you have, because none of them snap. Well now it's just fixed! No hassle. The added catwalk is also completely scratchable.

I also added a room to the west of the main room with …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
