describe
This mod adds steam and non-steam manhole covers around the Commonwealth, currently does not include DLC,
I (original author Rakun94, the same below) personally think they look cool, natural, and beautiful. They really enhance the atmosphere of the place they find. Manhole covers found in densely populated areas steam more, while manhole covers found in more remote locations tend not to steam at all. I also did not add manhole covers to the settlement as they might conflict with people's interests and ideas about the settlement.
Mods do not destroy pre-composed meshes and have nothing to do with them.
Should be compatible with anything.
Any dirty edits are cleaned up using FO4 Edit.
Note: I realize that steaming manhole covers probably don't make much sense in the world of Fallout 4, since for most of the world access to hot water is considered a luxury, but there are a lot of things that don't make sense in this game, so I decided to make this mod anyway.

Install
You should install this mod using a mod manager like MO2 or Vortex. As a general rule, load before PRP and similar mods that rebuild precomposed meshes.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
