A DLC-sized, haunted amusement park quest mod. Fully voiced, new weapons with heavy incinerator and firework cannons, monsters, multiple endings, new companions and more!
Just a few miles from Boston, Maxwell's World was once a place of joy. As the largest amusement park in the country, Mr. Maxwell has dedicated his destiny and life to making everyone's time at Maxwell World as happy as possible. Then the bombs dropped and everything went to shit.
Now, the park is in peril, shrouded in legend and danger. Myths abound that Maxwell hid a treasure deep within the park's control center, waiting to be reclaimed by some wild land.
Unfortunately, there are still over a thousand myths that say something happened to Maxwell's world. They told stories about attacking skeletons that would attack anything in the park, robots that would find you and force-feed you hot dogs, and riding creatures that would devour them. Some say Maxwell swapped his soul to keep the park running, and not even a catastrophe stopped it.
Everyone knows that those who enter Maxwell's world never leave. Because the park is not just open. It's still alive.
Maxwell's World is my take on the horror missions of Fallout 4, which finds the lone survivor trapped in a twisted amusement park called Maxwell's World. Teaming up with a group of survivors, players lead a final adventure through the park in an attempt to uncover what happened to the park, and how to escape.
Maxwell's world emphasizes multipathing and resource management! The park is malevolent and demands your soul, and will happily give you cursed resources instead of ending. Carefully manage what you bring, or take steps to use the tainted weapons and aid Maxwell gives you! Aspects of the quest will also change based on your dialogue. Gain a foothold among your companions, learn their history, discover secrets, and watch the park change to match your point of view!
feature
- Seven parts of survival and horror, with more than four different endings that react and change based on your choices in the main mission.
- A brand new world space, Maxwell's World, with over five completely different sections, hidden details, and more.
- Three new companions, fully expressing their fighting styles and miniquests.
- Brand new game elements!
In Maxwell's world, everything you find is tainted and can affect enemies and missions. Spend them if you dare, or focus on using the precious non-cursed resources you brought with you!
A system reborn. Maxwell wants you to stay, and is content to kill and resurrect you, over and over again. Watch your stimpaks and microcells because you won't get them back!
Animated biker boss! Vicious bumper cars and snake-printed roller coasters will kill you! These lords are scattered throughout the park and ready to come to life! Some say there are weapons in the park to deal with them, but you risk losing your soul to Maxwell's influence!
exist. A mysterious entity that travels around the park, bringing rides to life and causing machines to spiral out of control. Re-cut the power to different parts of the park to attract it, or brave the cozy cold of electricity!
Little game! Shooting galleries, robot battles and more
- New Enemies Face crazy animatronics, living rides, terrifying mascots and terrifying revelers; guests who were before your soul was claimed, are now forever cursed to roam the park in legions.
- New weapons! From firework cannons, ray guns, mallets, and the triumphant return of Fallout 3's heavy-duty incinerator.
- New Joker paint for power armor.
Install and play
Make sure your game can load loose files. If you haven't already, in your Fallout4.ini file, make sure you have bInvalidateOlderFiles = 1 under the [Archive] section.
When you first start the game, you will receive a radio broadcast and begin a mission. From there, things will become clear.
Companions are not available with mods. They'll be kicked out and you'll get three shiny new companions.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
