About this mod Machine translation

The purpose of this mod is to provide an easy way to fill those empty bookshelves and make the settlement look more lively. I've been brainstorming how to make some empty shelves in my settlement, but without the hassle of placing each item individually each time

NOTE: For snapping to work, you need to first place custom shelves - named "DIY 01 yourShelf", "DIY 02 yourShelf", etc. In the same category, shelf size creates pre-made confusion, and this goes into dinoShelves. Clutter can be placed on some herb racks, but they won't snap.

If the clutter is a bit difficult to snap into place, try moving back and making sure you're looking directly at the flat shelf - if that doesn't work, move the shelf a little further away from the wall and try again.

All items are added under furniture in their own category via script -> do it yourshelf. Start by putting down a bookcase/shelf, then add clutter by snapping it in - just like the door you enter by the door. To minimize hassle, place bookshelves/wall shelves in predetermined locations before adding clutter.

+All freestanding shelves snap together, but must be kept fairly close to snap.

+Grocery shelves are also spliced together back to back

+ Not all clutter will fit on the wall shelf, but everything should fit on the other shelves

uninstall:

Use the ChemStation to craft chemicals "Uninstall Do It Yourshelf" - it's practical. To use it first, save your game, then uninstall to make sure you keep the "Furniture" category.

If you have lost your furniture menu, please see the furniture repair files under misc files. If you have any additional questions, check to see if they are included in the FAQ in the comments section.

If you are using cartman1975's full cost ammo mess, remember to scrap it first, or you lose the ammo used to craft ammo.

___________

To-do list:

+ More shelf stuff - chemicals, armor, weapons, institute stuff, looter stuff and more are on the list

+ Re-added non-container versions for clutter

________________________________

Things to note:

+I try to be reasonable with production costs, so something might be 1 for 4 for the same price etc.

+ Clutter gets stuck in the wall, that's a side effect, really, but might come in handy?

+ Quite expensive in terms of settlement budget, so pay close attention if you don't want to stretch your construction budget

+ All clutter (and shelves) use vanilla textures, so any texture replacements you may have should be automatically applied

compatibility:

Should be compatible with almost anything since it adds its menu via script.

FO4 patch v1.4.1 adds new transaction counters, this mods contains grids with snapshot points covering them. The next version will have a non-overridden version.

While this can be used on its own, I recommend using Place Everywhere for more freedom in placing random items on shelves and OCDecorator to get more stuff out there! You can never have too much confusion. . What comes to mind is: shelves with snap nodes, and shelf-sized prefabricated clutter with snap nodes. The shelves are placed and the buckles are messy.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
