Introduction
Add a laser pointer to provide a single platform for your specific deployment needs. The M45 designator delivers high-impact Ordinance strike, equipped with HE cruise missiles and tactical nuclear weapons modules to answer the question: "Where does conventional surface warfare end and the serious combat of Ordinance begin? It can also flag Militia fire, summon Brotherhood Vertical Bird transport, or teleport Institute synthesizers to designated locations."
This mod aims to provide players with a dubious, lore-friendly, and primarily convenience-oriented targeting regulation delivery system.
Taking inspiration from a_blind_man's pre-war binoculars, this is a scouting/aiming device that allows the user to scope or designate in a gentle style. The designation is purely fire and forget, just load a module, make some munitions, and dump the explosives on the Commonwealth. Simple, stylish and selectively overwhelming.
Indicators and ammo can be crafted at the Chemistry Table, and ammo only requires bottle caps. By default, the specified type requires a throwable object associated with its functionality.
Features
Binocular designator device for all your reconnaissance or targeting needs
Several options for directing firepower, including cruise missiles and tactical nuclear weapons strikes
Optional compatibility with ShiroNyanP’s A-10 Warthog CAS
Name options
Militia artillery - because, of course. Build the modules, specify, and wait for the thunder.
Brotherhood Birds Fast Travel - Calls birds for transport at a target location.
Synthesizer Relay - Teleports 2nd generation synthesizers to the target location.
Cruise Missile - Drops a high explosive payload at a designated location.
Tactical Nuclear Bomb - Drops a very high explosive payload at a designated location.
How to get
Can be crafted on the Chemistry Table under the "Laser Pointers" category
L's room in the intelligence room at the US Air Force Satellite Station Olivia, and some of the legendary reasons for scraping by
compatibility
By default, it should be compatible with almost everything, since the indicator just triggers the event. If you find an incompatibility, please be sure to let me know.

Great binoculars brought to life by hitman47101. Absolutely awesome, big props to him. Look at his pre-war Binos resurrection.
Tangled up in base models and textures, used under a non-commercial license.
Pre-war binoculars a_blind_man, which provided inspiration and helped confirm equivalence in the documents.
Coyote for everything else.
Tools used

Known bugs/issues
Unable to launch - Nuclear bombs and cruise missiles sometimes failed to activate on certain geometries. Try the fix, but now aim for the ground at the bottom of the target for best results. This can also happen if you fire at a very far away target, especially since the laser doesn't hit the rendered ground.
No third person animation - I'm not an animator by any definition, so the third person animation is just the pistol animation for now. It is what it is.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
