v1.5: Fix animations and fix bugs.
Notice:
- There are currently 2 M1 Garand MODs on the N website, please be careful not to mix them up. The esps of these two MODs have the same name and cannot coexist.
- This MOD comes with a first-person reloading animation, but there is a problem with the third-person power armor animation. If you are used to using third-person plus power armor, this MOD is not recommended.
This is a MOD that comes with a first-person reloading animation, as well as the famous "ding" sound effect when the magazine pops out. MOD contains 4 weapons. They are 1 regular version of M1; 2 special versions, called "Blue Beauty" and "This Machine" (the This Machine in FNV); in addition, there is a bayonet used as a melee weapon.
All 3 guns use .308 ammunition and have some simple modifications (receiver, sight, muzzle device and the author’s characteristic butt tape).
How to get it:
Regular version of M1: Brotherhood Outpost 115 (2nd floor), National Guard Armory (requires terminal password or hacking skills), Coast Guard Pier (inside the house, requires hacking skills), Boston Police Distribution Station (inside the house). Console number: [2-digit hexadecimal MOD sequence number] 000f99.
Bayonets: There are 2, 1. Walk towards the red rocket on the sheltered hill, cross the bridge, there is a statue on the left, continue forward, there is a telephone pole on the left side of the road, there is a bayonet and a note on the telephone pole. The other is with Blue Betty (see below). Console number: [2-digit hexadecimal MOD sequence number] 001745
Blue Beauty: Atomic Cat Repair Shop.
This thing: the Federal Grain Storage (with an exit at the Lonely Church).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
