Back up your files.

My INI tweaks just reduce the game's detail and improve performance.

Shadow resolution is significantly reduced but causes some visual issues check the post.

Outdoor and indoor mesh load detail/distance reduction.

Grass is also disabled, but some plants still appear.

The world of Fallout is extremely detailed, so these details don't appear until you get very close to them.

I also added some tweaks from Skyrim which seem to work for FO4.

Should give you a huge fps increase and a very sh*tty looking game.

All post-processing is turned off.

DOF, Lens Flares, SSAO, Godrays.

Since we all have our own PCs, performance gains may vary for everyone.

But if you lag, it will definitely increase fps.

If you encounter an error, please review the readme or check the posts page.

Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
