describe
This mod will highlight corpses, ash/goo piles, unassigned settlers and objects, broken or unpowered objects, friendly troops while aiming, sleeping or unconscious creatures, containers, terminals, collectibles, keys, holos, books, plants, doors, weapons, ammo, hats, chems, legendary items...even synth infiltrators. This mod is highly configurable, including setting when and what to highlight, when to de-highlight, and the color of each highlight.
The mod becomes active once you gain the Scrapper perk, or you launch it manually via MCM or holotape.
compatibility
- Loading order doesn't matter at all (no modifications to vanilla form).
- F4SE and MCM are not required but highly recommended.
- No DLC required. All DLC supported.
- Unofficial patches are highly recommended.
- Mods that change settlement boundaries may cause problems.
- Some items from other mods may not be detected in the inventory.
- Tracking may be inaccurate if junk components are changed.
- Only common components (adhesive, steel, etc.) are supported.
Known issues
- Doors placed as static objects (such as rubble or fake walls) may be highlighted.
- Non-harvestable flora may be highlighted anyway.
- Shaders do not work with certain transparent objects, such as glass beakers.
- The magnifying glass icon on marked objects does not update until reloaded.
- Friendly highlights may get temporarily stuck if switched quickly.
- Shotgun ammo boxes highlight but do not trigger proximity events.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
