Leather Armor Transformation
Leather armor has been tweaked and improved to better display the base armor and clothing, with some adjustments made to make the dimensional progression more logical. There are also some additional details and model fixes
detail
Screenshots will show you everything you need to know, but here are the notable changes:
Built-in leather "base armor", removed from all parts to better show player character/NPC's base armor
The original heavy armored knees are interchangeable with the knees of the light/medium variants and vice versa. I noticed when looking at them that the light and medium knee pads are double padded, with the heavy duty variant having the knee pads underneath the top layer. It makes sense to switch this
The heavy-duty variant thigh now has an additional solid leather pad. There are some pockets on the left thigh
The upper arm sleeves were replaced with smaller straps for light arm use
Mounting only: Forearms and legs now get screws and nuts only on vanilla shoulders
Optional: Patches to remove cod fillets (aka "leather diapers") from heavy and medium torsos. Available in optional files
Install
Install using your favorite mod manager and click the download button
Overrides any mod that contains leather armor models (the original author molerats already included multiple bug fixes, so there is no need to fix older mods with leather armor model errors)
Optional:
Unencoded file: installs after the main file and overwrites everything
The packaged body and the cod fillet removal patch have been uploaded together, and you can choose to install them according to your needs.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
