About this mod Machine translation
Added separate sustained beam modification attachments for laser and academy weapons.
This mod is a rework of the Institute's laser rifle. Since it has an open license, I (original author HajyMurat, the same below) took the liberty of adapting it to a conventional laser weapon and modified its effect on academy weapons. If you want all Academy weapons to fire continuous beams, get that mod.
For balance's sake, the damage is reduced (DPS is about the same as the auto laser though), and the recoil is quite high unless you mount a stabilizer muzzle. Attachments are added to weapon mod level lists (not NPCs) so some enemies will occasionally have them installed on their weapons. Technically you could use continuous beam barrels with different muzzles to vary the beam (beam splitter and focuser), but they would look weird and would most likely be unbalanced.
barrel:
Continuous beam barrel - has moderate recoil and low damage
Continuous beam overload barrel - has very high recoil and higher damage
muzzle:
Continuous Beam Stabilizer I - Recoil Reduction
Continuous Beam Stabilizer II - makes recoil virtually non-existent
compatibility:
This mod does not change any vanilla records, except for the weapon mod attachment lists for the Laser Auto Barrel and Laser Focuser Muzzle, so if any mod adds attachments to those specific lists, there will be a conflict. Attachments are separate but refer to the vanilla model, so the mod is not compatible with laser or institute weapon replacements that alter the path of the vanilla model. Mods that change weapon attributes and plug-in-less replacement/retextures are compatible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
