Description and comments
- VATS will override the color scheme on its own. In Fallout 4, VATS applies its own color and lighting settings, and I spent a few hours trying to make a neutral version of VATS that would make every scenario pass VATS. But this game resists neutrality in VATS, and it doesn't look any better than allowing VATS to have its own colors. However, I cleaned up the VATS colors. If you're using VATS, you're already breaking immersion in learning.
- Bullet Time - If you're using Bullet Time, I recommend using a setting that doesn't change the visual effects (unless you want to set it to Jet, so you can use my nuke effect mod, of course).
3 shown. Unloading - The act of removing clothing restores color. If you plan to uninstall this mod, please remove any of its clothing before uninstalling so your save game will be retained to its normal color scheme.
4 shown. ENBs and Reshade - This mod is an in-game change, so it takes effect before ENBs and Reshade try to change anything. This won't hurt your enb or Reshade, but they are redundant. You don't need ENB or Reshade to use it, nor do I use ENB or Reshade.
- Performance - This uses in-game mechanics, like weather, time, drugs, or anything else. So it has no additional performance overhead.
- This mode is suitable for dark nights, real storms, Pip-Boy flashlights and more. Actually, this is a photo thread where I show how this mod changes the Pip-Boy flashlight.
7 shown. If you dropped this article on the floor, it would look like a hat. This is intentional because I personally hate dropping tiny little things on the ground and trying in vain to find them. Its purpose is that if you drop it, it can be picked up :)
- Please have fun. This mod is for entertainment purposes only: if you have any questions, please let me know and I'll help you if I can. But if you don't like it, you don't need to tell me.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
