About this mod Machine translation
Note: Before updating from an older version, please remove all JFAO jetpacks from your inventory. Please report any bugs or issues immediately so they can be moderated, thank you.
First up, this is a jetpack mod cobbled together using Vasstek's Nanosuit 6.2 and Niero's CROSS Jetpack assets. There are 2 different styles of jetpacks, the Nano-style jetpack based on the Nanosuit 6.2 model, and the RobCo-style jetpack similar to that used by the Personal Jetpack and Armorsmith Extended. All jetpacks are craftable, have animated flight like the CROSS Jetpack, and together add over 60 color and style options to the game. Jetpacks FAO colors have been chosen to match some popular armor suits such as the Kerrigan Bodysuit, Nanosuit 6.2 and Courser X-92 Power Suit. You can find the jetpack recipe in UTILITY's Chemistry Workbench or the Armorsmith Expansion Workbench under JETPACKS.
Secondly, JFAO has become a patch project, and I started putting together patches in my spare time to make other jetpacks compatible with the CROSS Jetpack animation script. These patches are completely independent from the main file and the CROSS Jetpack, which means you can download the patch you want and it will add fire and animations to those jetpacks, so no more ugly T-poses during flight!
Install
Follow this guide to enable Fallout 4 modding: Fallout 4 Mod Installation
I recommend using the Mod Manager for installation, as JFAO and many of its optional patches now have installation scripts. However, install them manually by extracting the downloaded files to a safe location and moving the contents of the "MAIN" folder into the Fallout 4 Data directory and then selecting the various options from the "OPTIONAL" folder and merging them. Those are in the same directory. Activate the .esp file in the Fallout 4 Mods menu (or Mod Manager) in the game. Make sure to update Mod Manager to the latest version.
It is highly recommended to use LOOT to sequence your load orders.
uninstall
Remove any equipped jetpacks from your character's inventory, then save the game using NMM, exit and uninstall the mod (or delete the files manually).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
