This mod is designed to increase the number of hut-style workshop items available to help you build settlements. "JAWS: Cabin Edition" adds hundreds of new parts, including floors, walls, roofs, railings, utility walls, and more. Many of these items exist in the game files and are used by Bethesda to build various areas on the map, but are not available in the Workshop menu. Now they have! For new equipment, it is a combination of kit modification and modeling from scratch. I (original author NCCML4321, the same below) also wanted to expand their variants to help you build settlements without looking too similar. I tried to keep the style of the game plain, rough, and crude. I hope you enjoy using these as much as I enjoyed putting them together.

This mod requires the use of the Settlement Menu Manager. The mod menu can be found in the "Wood Structure --->" menu.

All DLC is also required, as I brought some DLC vanilla workshop objects into the JAWS menu to make it easier to use.

Place Everywhere is highly recommended. There are a few items that without it, the placement space wouldn't be as free as it should be.

JAWS: Some new workshop items added to Shack Edition:

Extra trash wall, normal size and height. Barbed wire version included.

There are also wooden, metal and brick/concrete floors in various sizes.

Shed roof with eaves.

A shed roof can expand the range of pitched roof construction.

There are also many more options and types of shed walls.

Walls and floors have metal frames instead of wooden structures.

These were "reclaimed" windows from town buildings that had been built into the shack walls by cunning settlers.

Many original and custom railings, with and without wire fencing.

Various barbed wire fences.

Many new pillars, pillars and posts.

Covering of guard towers and outposts.

Cement brick structure.

Cement tile curtains.

Security gate settings.

Catwalk layout.

Barbed wire fence layout.

Various plywood and wood panels.

Full dock with sand, river rock, or no surface.

Dock Cabin Set.

Fragments of the houseboat.

Door and window panels.

There may be many more that I can't remember right now...

JAWS: Features built into the Shack Edition object:

The scrap walls were also resized to match the width of the floor/wall/roof components. This allows for a lot of symmetry if you like this style.

There are stuck points in the waste wall. They will attract each other, walls, gates, posts and towers. Also allow the balcony and floor pieces to snap together about two-thirds of the way, creating a protected walkway.

Trash wall bottom extension. Have you ever had that nasty gap under the wall when you put it on a slope? The extension will snap onto the bottom to fill the gap. Multiple extensions can be combined if needed.

Barbed wire can get stuck on itself or on the wall.

Snap points were added to the door openings and prefabricated elements to allow snapping on both sides of the door.

Many supports are designed specifically for certain exterior wall components and snap onto them nicely, looking clean and purposeful.

The original wood, metal, and some random DLC items are included in the "Jaws: Hut Edition" menu, so that you don't have to repeatedly exit the mod menu and switch back and forth to the original menu to get the basic hut items.

Complete navigation network.

A real collision.

Wet effects are added to a large number of materials that do not have a wet effect. Only affects items placed in Jaws: Broken House Edition.

Most items "sink" into the ground when placed, which provides flexibility when building a cabin.

None of the original hut's items, tex …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
