I (original author axelriuspoorgamer, the same below) do this because I like Iron Man, especially Mark 1, so I think for everyone
Again people playing Mark 1 make one, don't expect too much, it's not power armor but regular armor.
I actually tried to make it as a power armor but ran into 2 issues that I couldn't solve, I couldn't figure out how to turn it on and off when entering and exiting, and there was a weird bug that kept me from accessing the BB Brat inside the Mark 1 power armor. I actually spent 90% of the time making this mod fixing it, but I couldn't do it as my skills are still severely lacking.
So I took a step back and made it regular armor that you could wear over clothing. Maybe it's better for immersion since Tony actually wears the Mark 1 manually like this (in vain to cheer himself up) lol: "D
I also added 2 custom weapons, a hand held flamethrower and launcher because I saw the Mark 1 had those 2 weapons (really just invincible weapons haha) and can fly like in the movie (PA jetpack) I also added a handful of usable upgrades to each part. So I think it's suitable for early playthroughs until endgame playthroughs.
Once again, I'm still new to this. Add to that the constant careless starts, you know, the kind of guy who keeps banging his head on the edge of the table, or the guy who accidentally bumps the leg of the table with my pinky foot, or the guy who forgets what floor he's parked on and ends up going up and down dozens of floors trying to find his bike.
So if you spot any mistakes I've accidentally made or know how to improve this mod, please let me know :")
May conflict with mods that don't have first person! It can't actually be played in first person, either pip pad or pip boy. It's not even playable when holding most weapons. So I didn't add a grid for first person
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
