About this mod Machine translation

Modify the original script to allow you to recruit any companions plus dog meat, up to 15 real companions, and an unlimited number of ordinary companions.

Chinese patch:

V1.1.0:

Allows an unlimited number of companions (does not improve AI)

This MOD is a companion frame for Sheriff Fens - Stand 2 support. (AFT is clearly not supported by Stand 2. AFT+ requires you to test whether it is supported)

Author's words:

Before you ask, yes you can have a companion besides Dogmeat, and it supports Autobot and Far Harbor companions.

This mod basically allows you to have any number of companions. The only limitation is that you may only have actual dialogue with the first 15 companions, and the rest of the companions may just have normal dialogue.

Removed the dogmeat replacement code that caused recruiting a dogmeat to cause your previous companions to be fired. Dogmeat does not count towards the companion sequence of 15 companions.

Known issues:

Some missions may not trigger a recruitment dialogue, but instead prompt you that you already have a companion

  • Some companions may be prohibited from becoming followers. This is actually a feature of the original version. The purpose is to prevent you from taking people you shouldn't take.
  • If you recruit another follower, sometimes the companion will trigger a dismissal comment for the other companion, but they don't actually leave

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
