Updated on November 22nd:
Version 1.01
A refresh cap has been set for bloat flies in the loading area. This reduces over-spawn when multiple ghouls gather together.
Note: This limit can be overcome by spawning simultaneously (e.g. multiple ghouls exploding at the same time), but will generally reduce the number of bloatflies you see at the same time.
Increased the size of parasitic bloatflies so they should be easier to hit.
The BA2 and component format master files have been uploaded. You can choose one of the two to install according to your needs.

This is an entry for the Fallout Modathon 2025 "Mutants & Machines" category!
Do you think Mad Ghoul is a little lacking? Have you ever thought about making maggot flies even more disgusting? Maybe you'd like the combat to be a little more dynamic? Well, I (original author Glitchfinder, the same below) am pretty sure this is not what you are looking for, but I sent it anyway. Presenting: Infected wild ghouls (and their bloatfly parasites) for your immersive wasteland needs!
Features
Added "Infected Feral Ghoul" to level list.
When you kill an infected ghoul, a swarm of "parasite flies" will jump out of the corpse and attack you.
Marked as lightweight (ESL tagged esp) to reduce impact on load order.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
