What it can do:
If like me you feel like the vanilla bridge is nothing but other bridges, then this mod is for you. It basically changes three things:
Change bridge snap nodes so they align with floors, stairs, etc.
Add four additional snap nodes on either side of the bridge
Added two additional wooden bridges to the misc crafting menu
This means you can snap the bridge into floors, stairs, etc. Additionally, you can now snap it to the sides of both bridges (the other one is the small one). These snapshot nodes can be a bit rebellious at times. If you have trouble placing railings, try using a small floorboard first.
All bridges you have placed in your settlement will automatically update.
How to install:
Unzip the downloaded zip file.
Copy the contents to the Data folder in your Fallout 4 installation directory.
Activate BetterShackBridges.esp in your favorite mod manager.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
