About this mod Machine translation
The Hunting Revolver and special edition Ranger Sequoia are now back in the wasteland from Fallout: New Vegas, bringing with them a host of new modifications.
Considering that the animation of the V61 revolver I posted was adopted from this veteran, it’s time for you to see the terrifying production power of the F4NV team.
Prerequisite: Far Harbor DLC (highly recommended)
"Rangers are all volunteers. Regardless of men or women, from the day they become Rangers, they are always ready to sacrifice their lives for the New California Republic, including myself." - Commander Hanlon.
As shown, this mod adds a remastered and expanded version of the Hunting Revolver used by the Rangers and the special edition Ranger Sequoia, first seen in Fallout: New Vegas. Featuring custom animations, custom sounds, and loot integration, this is a comprehensive standalone weapons mod.
By default, the Hunting Revolver and Ranger Sequoia use the .44 ammo type, but the New Vegas version and its real-life prototype use the .45-70 ammo, so if you have the Far Harbor DLC, using the Far Harbor version is highly recommended. They both hold 5 round magazine.
In terms of modifications, the Hunting Revolver features a receiver upgrade tree similar to the original 44 revolver, as well as several grip, scope, barrel, and muzzle options. The Special Edition Ranger Sequoia cannot be modded, but by default does more damage than the max-upgraded Hunting Revolver and reloads faster.
Currently, the Hunting Revolver will appear in legendary enemies/certain loot containers after level 20, and in specialized weapon vendors after level 30 (e.g. the KL-E-0 in Neighbors). You can also find a Hunting Revolver at the top of Lynn Woods' tower, and the Ranger Redwood can be found in Kroger's room, behind his bed.
If you don't like hunting for weapons and want to get them immediately, you can open the console and type "help hunting 4 weap" or "help ranger 4 weap" without the quotes, write down the code that appears in brackets next to the ID of the weapon you want, and then type "player.additem X" again without the quotes, where X is the code above. Or it can be obtained directly using the ESP extractor.
The default version, the Far Harbor version, and the Chinese patch ( have been packaged and uploaded together. Choose to install according to your own playing preferences.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
