About this mod Machine translation

Ever feel like your settlement is a little "lacking"? Want something to help spice up your shed? Housewives are here to help!

Homemaker is a mod that greatly expands the settlement's vanilla crafting system and adds over 1000 new, fully balanced items to craft, from cars to refrigerators to working street lights, and everywhere in between! The mod also includes a new academy building set, including placeable snap-on walls, floors, stairs, and more! Whether you're a mad scientist longing for the good old days and just looking for a new life among the ruins, or a sadistic predator, Housewives has something for you!

1.74 Notes:

--Many capture points! (More to come)

--Tons of texture swapping! (More to come)

--Bug fixes!

--Small improvement in quality of life!

--Static collision of many previously movable objects...no more kicking around coat racks, ironing boards, buckets and trash cans!

--New object!

--Add DIY furniture with built-in support for Do It Yourshelf and come with all the DIY snaps for snapping furniture to each other, such as file cabinets and bookcases.

Here are a few examples of what the mod adds:

7 new building sets - City Brick Building, Coastal Dock Shack, Institute House, Greenhouse, Bunker, Diner and Warehouse! All sets are navmeshed where possible and should work with NPCs except for a few bunker doors. The brick building set has some known issues, all of which are marked in the item description, but should be fixed in the next version.

Large prefab buildings like Covenant Houses, Radio Towers and Lighthouses add more flavor to your settlement!

Many vanilla classes have been overhauled, making many objects easier to find. This mod's class imprint is now much lighter.

Hundreds of new decorations, from cars to trees to coffee machines and more! Now includes institute monitors and other wall-mounted objects.

New arable crops - Muck Beans and Tarberry, as well as industrial planters like the ones found in Greygarden or Vault 81.

New beds, chairs, toilets, showers, counters and other home furnishings, both pre- and post-war! Beds also count towards your settlement bed total, and yes, bunk beds and double beds count as two separate beds.

Tons of new lights available, including candles, table lamps, fluorescents, fire barrels, lanterns, and even working street lights! All lights use a passive power source like other non-connectable vanilla lights.

Tons of new fences and miscellaneous barriers available for your settlement, including chain link fences, deed walls, BoS-style military barriers, gunner barricades, and more!

Many other new buildable objects. Try it and see for yourself! The vast majority of objects have proper icon scaling and balanced recipes, and those that don't will get it soon!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
