Heather updated to v2.7
February 16, 2024. This update does not require new saves. But you need to replace your current v2.x version with the new one. Don't merge. Old scripts etc. that have not been removed can cause problems with the game, so it is important to completely replace the old version with the new one.
What you should know:
v2.7 is mostly a bug fix, but I (the author, hereafter) did add one new feature. Heather can now be fired to reach a settlement. She is also assignable in Sim Settlements 2. For a complete list of fixes, see the change log.
Be sure to check out the optional files in the Files tab if you need them:
1 - Body slideshow file for Heather's outfit.
2 - A patch that will override any lighting mods you use that make Heather's bunker too dark or too bright.
3 - You want Heather to not use CBBE at all (default textures, clothing, etc. are all original)
4 - You want to remove all mention of Shaun or the player's spouse from Heather's dialogue.
5 - You play VR and need an esp with header changed to .95.
I will be updating the xbox version to v2.7 in the next week or so.
If you are updating from V1 to V2, use CTRL F to search for "THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HEATHER V2" and read that before installing v2.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
