Introduction

As the creator of Fallout New Vegas' most popular companion mod, Willow - A Better Companion Experience, here's another sophisticated companion for Fallout 4.

Heather is a caravan dealer who grew up in the Commonwealth. She is wary of synthetics and hates them, would have liked to have lived before the war when everything was more interesting, she believes in aliens and has heard that pre-war donuts were delicious.

Heather is a companion to the Vanilla Companions concept, with over 1,200 lines of custom voice dialogue that can be delivered during missions, specific locations, random chat, and conversations with players or other NPCs.

Heather has a tragic past, like most everyone else in the Commonwealth, and when you meet her she's still reeling from the loss of her loved ones. By completing the mission "Sweet Revenge" you will help him heal his wounds and move forward in life. Over time, its story will be revealed through conversations, general discussions, and terminal entries.

Which one is better in the game?

The radio mission will start a few minutes after leaving the shelter, or starting the game if the mod is installed. This mission will lead you to its location. Radio missions do not require interaction with Heather. However, if there is a conflict in your loading order, the radio station may not play properly. If that fails, you can go directly to Heather, talk to her and take her away.

Do I need to throw a new party?

No, you don't need to start a new game to play with Heather. She has content for quests from the beginning, such as when you have to save Preston in Concord, but she'll make some comments even when she's not with you. She comments on different parts of the game world. So if you have a very high-level character, she will always provide you with dialogue as you travel, in addition to her quest content. You'll miss out on the main quest and side quest dialogs, but if you like it you can always see everything with your next new character.

What are weather skills and statistics?

• Special ability "Never trust synthetics": Heather's damage is increased by 10% compared to synthetics.

She carries a laser rifle.

Its default clothing is ballistic fiber, providing +30 resistance to damage and energy.

Its bag (which can be removed) provides a +25 bonus. If you remove her, she will lose this load capacity.

Re-equipping the pack will restore the effect (preferably before loading a new area, there was a bug in this game with effects on NPCs).

It breaks novice level terminals. It improves when you ask it to unencrypt the terminal via the command menu. Heather must be able to unencrypt the terminal five times to pass the next level. Once an hour, when it attacks a terminal, you gain +15 affinity points. She still successfully attacks her level terminal 100% of the time.

• Heather has several advantages/settings that improve her performance:
• It has four levels of invisibility that won't affect your detection.
• It is affected by the "Source of Inspiration" ability and the benefits provided by the "Life and Love" magazine. The "Lone Nomad" ability applies to players even when they're with you.
• Its default racing speed is much higher than the base speed, closer to the player's sprint speed.
• Will not be damaged when dropped from height.
• She really lives where you told her to stay.
• The auxiliary armor she wears does not degrade. She has unlimited ammunition for any weapon similar to what the settlers use. Both options can be disabled via their bunker's terminal (you can access a bunker with an affinity of 250).
