For my (author Jason Unruhe) fourth series of mods, I decided to go with a gunslinger theme. I've been missing that western ranch life style since New Vegas, so I decided to add it to Fallout 4. The outfit comes in three different skins: a classic cowboy look, a dark country mix, and a grungy wasteland patchwork version. It also includes a hat with 3 different skins. As usual, only men are supported.
The revolver I chose to add is the Colt 1851 Navy Revolver. I discovered by chance that this gun was the one worn by the protagonist in the song "Big Iron". I really didn't intend to be him at first, but I had no intention of doing it. This revolver has the same attributes as the .44 revolver but has some new 76 style skins available for modification.
All of these items can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
