You never know what faction mode you need! Finally, shooters can be what they should always be: they'd only waste bullets if they knew they were being paid, not just because of men in blue and yellow jumpsuits lingering in their sights.
Welcome to Gunners Overhaul.
Basically this mod makes the gunner friendly to players at the start of the match. It also makes all containers and useful items in the Gunner area belong to the Gunner faction, meaning you have to steal it from them.
There are a lot of things I don't like in Fallout 4 compared to previous Fallout games, but most of them boil down to one aspect: the loss of player choice. Factions are one such example. The Gunslingers are supposed to be a mercenary group, so I'm expecting a Talon Corporation/Fighter Guild type mission with some legal evil stuff going on. Instead, the shooters simply returned to attacking the Raiders. Not only is this boring and more in keeping with FPS4's FPS style, it completely destroys the player's chance to choose how he or she interacts with that faction. I found this to be sad and not immersive, so I made this mod to fix it.
Install using NMM or install manually. If updated, the old file is overwritten.
To install manually:

- Place 'GunnersOverhaul.esp' into the steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data folder
- Place the Voice folder in steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data/sound
- Place the Fragments folder in steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data/Scripts
Require:
- Fallout.esm。
- No new save required.
compatible:
- Wasteland grunt, as it only changes the texture. Highly recommended!
- Alternate Start and Another Life, very cooperative with the 'Gunner' start career!
- Gunslinger blood type tattoo, a must-have for the role of Gunslinger
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
