About this mod Machine translation
describe:
This mod aims to recreate all (or at least most) NPCs in the game with a more realistic appearance. Each character I recreate is based on a movie star and the new look should feel like it matches the NPC's personality.
I won't reveal the cast I used or I'll get roasted. I just use them as a reference and try my best to use current tools.
All "human" companions have been re-done. To see the full list of NPCs, check out the README tab or view the screenshots.
This is still a work in progress. If people have suggestions for casting more NPCs we would be very grateful and take into account known actors.
I've also included a "Lore friendly" version if you prefer the original hairstyle, hair color and beard. The installer also comes with individual NPC replacers, in case you only want to replace a few of them.
Install:
Use NMM to download the main file (FOMod installer) and install it. Or download any optional files and install/unzip in the Data folder.
If you prefer other replacements for a specific character (i.e. Eli's Overhaul or kjj92's mod), make sure they are loaded after this mod.
Be warned! Selecting a single replacer in the installer will generate an .ESP for each character you select (vanilla means no esp will be generated). This means you can end up working with many .esp files. This isn't a serious issue, but I'd recommend using some kind of merge after installation to make things easier. Selecting the All Companions and All NPCs options will only generate 2 .esp files (one for companion ads and one for non-companion NPCs).
renew:
Make a backup of your save game. in case.
Uninstall the old version.
Install new ones.
It's just a replacer and there shouldn't be any problems when uninstalling or updating.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
