About this mod Machine translation
A Butterfly Knife has been added to the game as a new independently animated melee weapon.
Version 1.1 updated on July 16th:
Animation updated! Does not contain plugin changes - 1.1
Fixed third person animation
Reworked first person animation
Chinese address:
The packaged ESP and ESL versions are uploaded together, and you can choose to install them according to your needs.
The third new addition to the Select Weapon series, the Balisong. Also known as the Butterfly Knife, it is a melee weapon known for being used as a toy rather than actually being able to stab...why not be both? (The original text here is a Spanish paragraph, that is, por qué no los dos?)
Has some custom features. Different blade styles, different handle styles and individual finishes.
How to get
This weapon can be found on some Reavers as a possible melee weapon drop (LL Infusion). It can also be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench under the BALISOG entry.
For console command: help balisong 4 weap
They can also be legendary, with Balisong being added to a random legendary list. Begins to appear at level 20.
Remark:
This mod is primarily a first person weapons mod. Due to the animated nature of this melee weapon, VATS can only look good in third person. Third person technically works, but isn't pretty (gun mods are much easier...haha). However, companions and NPCs have no problem using the Butterfly Knife.
This mod also has no power armor animations.
Install
Install like any other mod. No DLC or Mods required. Install using NMM/Vortex or enable via the Mods menu in Fallout 4.
Two versions are available for download. ESL and ESP.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
