About this mod Machine translation

NOTE: This is a player HOME, not a player SETTLEMENT. Without a settlement workshop, one will not be added, so please don't ask. Most items are stationary, but there are several lootable items and containers throughout the house. All work surfaces and cooking stations are connected.

This mod is not a reconciliation meaning you cannot disarm companions or set up supply lines here.

Required for all Fallout 4 DLC. There will be no non-DLC version.

Version 1.4 update now available - clean save required if upgrading from previous version

Important information for upgrading from previous versions to v1.4:

v1.4 has breaking changes to some containers and scripts. Therefore, v.1.4 needs to be installed along with a clean game save. If you don't install v1.4 to a clean save, some script items will no longer work, and you will permanently lose items stored in some containers.

You will delete all items stored in the apartment before upgrading. Requiring a clean save means you have to buy the condo deed from Daisy again to get the keys.

If this isn't something you want to deal with, don't install the 1.4 update. You have been warned.

***Before upgrading to v.1.4:***

Removed all storage items and power armor from CONDO. This includes all Bobbleheads, magazines, clothing displayed on mannequins, and items stored in any containers. Everything you bring into the apartment needs to be removed. After upgrading with a clean save, the cells will be reset to their default state, so your project will no longer exist in the game. You are warned again.

For details on how to perform a clean save and install for v1.4, see the instructions in the Articles section of the mod page.

Changes in V1.4:

  • Major changes were made to the sorting script and form lists to better use vanilla keywords for more efficient sorting
  • Item classification changes: Dirty and purified water are now sorted to the kitchen refrigerator instead of chemical and auxiliary storage in previous versions
  • Updated interactive shelve script
  • It is now possible to quickly travel directly inside the apartment (activate the map marker after entering the apartment for the first time)
  • Adjusted basement navigation grid
  • Added linked storage containers for clothes, armor and chemicals. No more walking up and down three flights of stairs to grab your stuff!
  • Replaced static toilet grid with animated grid using bruce142
  • Basement sink texture changed
  • Regenerated pre-assembled mesh and preview data for external Goodneighbor cells
  • Various tweaks and tweaks

describe:

Goodneighbor Condo is a massive player inspired family mode for old-school players in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. It offers a comfortable, pre-decorated, move-in home with all amenities and many scripted interactive features.

To obtain ownership of the apartment, you must purchase the property deed from Daisy. Deeds are found in Miscellaneous. Her inventory section. This will add the key to your inventory and you can then unlock the door. Notes on the front door of the apartment will give you more details. The purchase price will vary based on your character's Charisma and Barter skills.

Place:

The Goodneighbor Condo is located in Goodneighbor (obviously) on the main square opposite the Third Rail entrance.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
