Genuine Leather HD - Armor and Clothing

All leather gear for 4k and 2k retextures uses real leather photos. Aiming for realism and a unified aesthetic while staying reasonably close to the vanilla color palette. Yes, they are shinier than vanilla by default - only the original untreated leather has the same smooth texture as vanilla. This is a fundamental part of this mod, not a bug. However, for those who want a less glossy version available in optional files, an alternate spec chart is available.

All facings and leather armor are included, as well as boots, loot leather, suspenders and pavement leather. I redid every specular map to simulate the high-gloss/low-specular nature of real leather, and polished the metal bits a bit. There are also black armor pieces and suspenders.

There are some nice leather mods out there, but none of them seem to fit. That was the idea behind this, to have all the leather in the game mix and match without looking weird.

Every effort has been made to keep the vanilla style close to the aroma while making each variety unique. So the "Support" mod (pictured above) emphasizes stitching, and the Boiled Armor has a new mirror map to highlight its mottled leather, etc. The rivet armor has been tweaked to make the metal bits really pop and shine. The "Treated" mod is inspired by Japanese lacquered armor and features a high-gloss and iridescent finish (pictured below). Think samurai armor. There's also an optional file that makes the shaded armor more matte for maximum sneakiness.

The straps have been leather overhauled to match the brown color of the default armor, the Road Leather and Reaver Leather have been battered and worn and adjusted to match the Shadow Armor. There is also now a refueling jacket and Atom Cats jacket (pictured above).

Install:

Choose which variant you want to use, 2k or 4k. If you want a less shiny spec map, install it later. They are available in a variety of sizes. If you switch sizes, please reinstall when finished.

Fully compatible with CBBE, Bodyslide and any other mesh modules. I highly recommend you get my Leather Armor - Vanilla and CBBE to fix the right arm bug. Also look at the Cait in denim and leather to match the bodice to this outfit.
