Gatling Gun Reborn by Skibadaa
Personal updated Chinese address on August 24th:
When I (original author Skibadaa, the same below) released the "Miniguns Standalone" pack, it was the only game with new machine guns in Fallout 4. Since then,
The quality and variety of weapons available on has exploded, and pieces that I considered high-end at the time are now outdated.
As time passes, there are two options: accept the slow disappearance into irrelevance and be content with memories of past glories, or embark on a journey to save the old and regain lost time.
This is rebirth.
All 3 classic machine guns are now rescued and resurrected:
All new textures created in Substance, with 10 additional material swaps per weapon.
All new sounds were sampled and mixed by me from public domain sources of real world analogues.
All new meshes were rebuilt from scratch in 3dsMax, with custom working collisions and physics.
All new plugins are in esl format to preserve your load order.
All new scripts LList injected to add weapons to vendors and select enemies.
All new weapon instances placed in world space for you to discover.
All included in the BA2 archive, no more loose files!
The Gatling Gun rebirth is what I've always wanted for a machine gun.
CONTENT INCLUDES: Rockwell CZ53 Personal Machine Gun
Rockwell CZ57 Avenger
Rheinmetall AG Vindicator
Future plans for this mod:
The third-person reload animation is traditional and, while powerful, doesn't line up perfectly and has some clipping. think
Got a new set of reload animations for 3rd person and PA.
Starting Integration Want to add the ability to craft each weapon.
Install:
- Make sure your game is set to play mods (save files are invalid)
- Download the main file.
- Install using the mod manager of your choice, or extract the contents of the master file into the Fallout 4 "data" directory.
- Activate "Skb-MinigunsRebirth.esl" in your load sequence.
- Load the game.
- Either enter the game and shoot fools, or sit back and be fools.
All machine guns have been added to the tiered list via scripts and can be purchased from vendors and placed on enemies in the world
found on the body. Starting with v1.1, LList integration is optional on new games and can be enabled by setting up the holotape. The personal machine gun spawns at level 1, the Avenger at level 10, and the Vindicator at level 20. There are several other places in the world where each weapon can be found and looted, these locations are:
Concord - On the roof of the museum with the crashed Virtibird you'll find a crate containing a personal machine gun and some ammunition.
Fort Hagen - Inside the secure storage cage on the first floor you'll find an Avenger Minigun.
Fort Strong - You can find a Vindicator on the sub-level of the Armory.
As of v1.1, a Settings Holotape will be added to your inventory (and can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench), optionally
Spawn weapons directly to your players, you can use this option as many times as you want.
The ESL version has been packaged and uploaded together with the redone weapon package patch (if not used, the weapon package version will be generated by default instead of the reborn version of Gatling).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
