About this mod Machine translation
The "Handcuffs Now" version!
Freeze has three main goals:
- Depending on the specific situation, the chance of success in intimidation is reduced by RNG.
- Increase rewards for appeasing enemies
- Make the entire system more realistic and immersive
chance of surrender
Vanilla chance
40% flat, small level-based bonus
freeze opportunities
Player levels, perk levels and charisma
enemy level
Enemies using melee weapons are more likely to surrender without closing the gap or losing their legs.
While undetected, you will receive a bonus depending on how close you are to your opponent. (Full when not detected, half when they search.)
Enemies will be harder to pacify based on how many friends they have nearby
Children will be easier to soothe
Cowardly enemies will always surrender
Lady Killer / Black Widow perk bonus actually works
Power Armor changed in 2.1
Enemies wearing powerful armor will surrender based on nearby allies and their health. Get them low before trying to intimidate them!
When you wear powerful armor, you gain bonuses against enemies lower than you.
after surrender
Muh immursion
After a successful surrender, the enemy now places their weapon on the floor.
XP bonus
You gain XP based on enemy level, which is level 3.
second thought
Safe enemies may break the pacify if you're in combat, your weapons are holstered, or you don't keep them in sight.
Especially if they still have weapons in their inventory!
To prevent this, you can handcuff the enemy (see below)
Power Armor changed in 2.1
Enemies wearing powerful armor will exit their armor.
If they had to move to find enough space to exit, they probably wouldn't have their hands up.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
