A new addition to the Stranger Commonwealth series, this mod was also part of the Fallout Flood Mod Jam and was a lot of fun to make, and the concept grew into something great while I was working on it, but a lot of ideas were left out of this mod due to time constraints. I do hope to expand on this at some point in the future.
background
The Wretched are a cult-like group of attackers who keep a very low profile and have long used the institute's reputation for kidnappings to carry out kidnappings without being noticed. Recently, they have been increasingly seen in Cambridge, to the displeasure of other local attackers.
In addition to being more organized, they stand out from other raiding gangs in the area
The reason for this is that they drink blood constantly... which is very good for them for some reason. They're not vampires themselves, and they can walk during the day, but their strong inspiration for bloodworms can be... disturbing. They believe that through blood, just as mosquitoes become large bloodworms, they can become something other than human, a fact that brings little comfort to their victims, since if you are not killed immediately, you are captured, beaten, and starved to participate in their brutal selection rituals.
Their homes are protected with locks and keys, but if you want to mess with them, you need to find the key somewhere in the area.
Features
- New interior, a "mini dungeon" that utilizes one of the many wooden plank buildings in the game.
- New syringe melee weapon that does low damage but causes bleeds.
- 2 new outfits
- Blood bottle, just because
- A returning perk for the Hemophagocytosis in Fallout 3, which increases health recovered from blood packs (and other blood-related items).
- As a way to facilitate exploration, the locations are unmarked, and you can see the locations in the spoiler below.
Location:
The house the poor man lives in is just south of Wattz Consumer Eletronics. Look for a house with Halloween decorations.
They key you can find somewhere on your way to Cambridge Crater, you'll find a group of poor guys who may have had a run in with other raiders, one of whom has the key.
Remark
Enemies in this mod are at set levels and do not scale with the player, with enemies ranging from level 12 (weakest) to level 28 (boss). Low-level player characters will have difficulty attempting the mini-dungeon, although this is possible with heavy firepower.

compatibility
Will conflict with any mod that makes changes to health packs or irradiated blood packs. (Perk will have no effect and needs to be patched)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
