Photo mode: Fallout 4 version

This mod adds photo mode to Fallout 4!

Featuring a custom new UI designed specifically for Fallout 4, inspired by photo mode implementations in modern games.

Features:

Field of View: Controls the Photo Mode camera's field of view. Use low FOV to capture intimate close-ups, or high FOV to capture wide vistas.

View Roll: Tilt/rotate camera.

Depth of Field: Control depth of field strength, distance and range. (Optional) Enable autofocus on the player. DoF allows you to blur the background while keeping the subject sharp.

Freeze/Thaw Time: Blink? Unfreeze time without leaving photo mode.

Time Multiplier: Slow down time to capture perfect frames.

Show/Hide Players: Sometimes, your character isn't the main attraction.

Player Positioning: Precisely control your character's position, rotation and height.

Effects: Control brightness, contrast, saturation and apply hue to images.

use

How to: Access Photo Mode from the pause menu, or via a hotkey you can set in the mod's MCM menu.

The photos you take will be saved in the Photos folder of your Fallout 4 installation directory.

Photo mode is available for KB/M and controllers. The controller will give you finer control over camera movement. If you're a KB/M player who wants to use a gamepad for photo mode, use my other mod Auto Gamepad Switch to seamlessly switch between KB/M and a gamepad.

Install

Prerequisites:

This mod requires the Fallout 4 Script Extender.

The Mod configuration menu is optional, but recommended. You'll need this if you want to set photo mode hotkeys in the game and configure the mod. Otherwise, if you don't have MCM installed, you can still launch Photo Mode from the pause menu.

illustrate:

  • Install using your favorite mod manager or copy the files from the download to your Fallout 4 installation folder.
  • Activate PhotoMode.esp in your favorite mod manager or via the in-game mod manager.
  • Launch the game using the F4SE loader.

Other instructions:

This mod can be placed anywhere in your load order as it does not modify any vanilla files.

This mod does not use any scripts, does not affect your save games in any way, and can be safely installed or removed at any time.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
