Final Fallout Survival by VikingVod Compatibility patch for Final Fallout: Survival by VikingVod
This is a compatibility patch for VikingVod’s Final Fallout: Survival.
You can check out the overhaul on my Twitch channel and get alpha access by becoming one of my subscribers!
The aim of this overhaul is to strike a balance between brutal punishment and well-paced progression. There are 4 major overhauls I'd like to see done:
It needs to look good.
- It needs to satisfy more of my masochistic tendencies (Dark Souls, Halo of Legends, etc.).
It needs to have a good rhythm.
It needs to be immersive. After all, this is a survival reform.
I'm a content creator on Twitch, and while I personally enjoy spending 20 minutes in a shootout with a shooter, it doesn't make for good content, so that's where good pacing comes in. I'm on my way to achieving my goal with an overhaul, but it's still a long way off. I'm super excited to offer first Alpha access to my amazing Twitch subscribers!
FFS is currently in 151 modes, I am more concerned about 33, which may enter the overhaul stage before public release. Get involved today and help shape change at FFS!
FFS mixes gameplay with realistic ballistics, unique NPCs and monsters, adding a whole new dynamic to the savings system. You don't want to be able to save quickly. Conversely, you'll trade off if you should save quickly. Regarding sleep or preservation work, we have a chemical called Save-O. You can find these throughout the world as rewards for some heroic encounters, perhaps for some less palatable actions. Save so quickly to your heart's content, but remember the kind of luxury you experienced!
If you are a content creator and interested in alpha testing FFS then please drop me a message and we'll see if we can work something out.

The aim of this overhaul is to strike a balance between brutally punishing & well paced progression. I wanted to have an overhaul that dose 4 things:
- It needs to look GOOD.
- It needs to satisfy my more masochistic tendencies (Dark Souls, Halo on Legendary, ect, ect).
- It needs to have a good pacing.
- It needs to be immersive. It is a Survival overhaul after all.
I'm a content creator on Twitch, & though I personally LOVE spending 20 minutes in a shootout with raiders, it doesn't make for good content, so that's where the need for good pacing comes into play. I'm on my way to reaching my goals with the overhaul, but it still has a way to go. I'm super excited to be offering up the first Alpha access to my amazing Twitch Subscribers!
F.F.S. is currently at 151 mods & I have my eyes on 33 more that will likely make it into the overhaul before public release. Get involved now & help shape what F.F.S. becomes!
F.F.S. mixes up the gameplay with realistic ballistics, unique NPCs & monsters, & adds a whole new dynamic to the saving system. No more do you wish that you could quick save. Instead, you will be weighing if you should quick save. Thanks to Loganbacca's work on Sleep or Save we have an chem called Save-O. You can find these around the world as rewards for some heroic encounters & maybe for some less than savory deeds. So quick save till your heart's content, but remember what you went through to have that luxry!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
