About this mod Machine translation
A new mechanic has been added to collect meat, bones, skin and other materials from animals in a new and immersive way.
Now this is very compatible and can be used with the corpse cleaner to deal with creatures that this MOD cannot handle.
NOTE: The shortcut keys must now be set in MCM
------------
Butcher
Collect meat from prey. The amount of meat depends on the weight of the prey. As an optional feature, carcasses will be dismembered during slaughter.
cannibals
Are you a cannibal? no problem! You can also kill humans. HotC has added several new human-related meat items.
Raw meat, lower arms, upper arms, legs, eyes, head, brain.
New cooking recipes for stews, soups, and other meat-related foods like bacon, jerky, and more.
Collect blood (BoS Quest related)
Enemies will no longer give it to you after killing them. You must collect blood samples directly from the prey. There is a chance of failure, which is similar to the drop rate of vanilla blood samples.
If this isn't immersive for you, you can enable tube collection. This can be toggled via the MCM. You can now make test tubes to collect blood samples. Test tubes can be crafted at the Chemistry Station.
Collect nuclear material and glowing blood
Instead of picking up your nuclear material easily, you're now going to get your hands dirty!
harvest
Many items, easily looted from corpses, now need to be harvested. Bloatfly won't hand you over to its glands again. This also removes the random element of finding a specific item. If you want that Bloatfly gland, you can always get it now.
Peel
This option allows you to collect the skins of your prey. In addition to the vanilla experience, you can now obtain leather from various other animals. For example, you can now also skin cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, and more.
Dispose
Is a corpse haunting you and lying around your settlement and doesn't want to disappear? Just treat it with HotC and it's gone!
Melee weapons as tools
Not only can your combat knife slice up some ghouls, it can also help you break down your prey. Not every melee weapon will work, and they will make a difference. Using a switchblade will take longer than using a ripper. All suitable melee weapons are classified as tools.
If you're using melee weapons with mods added and you want to use them too, don't worry, I've got you covered. You can configure a hotkey using the MCM which will tell you how good your current melee weapon is and give you the option to add it if it's not already overridden. All added weapons can be reset when no weapons are equipped.
level system
Gain experience by handling your prey. Each level you gain improves your hunter skills, reducing the time it takes you and increasing the amount of meat you get from a carcass.
You can set a key in the MCM to view your current level and experience.
The current highest level is 5. Once you reach 5, you no longer gain any experience. I will add this feature in the future!
portable cooking pot
You can make a portable cooking pot at the Chemistry Station that you can take with you wherever you go. This is a miscellaneous item that can be dropped from your inventory so that it can be placed on the ground. Once you're done, you can pack it up again and take it with you.
time
No matter what you do, it takes time. (Can be configured or disabled using MCM)
deal with
While a carcass is being disposed of, your screen will go black and you will hear the sounds of slaughter. The larger your prey, the longer it will take. (Can be configured or disabled using MCM)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
