About this mod Machine translation
Hello, this mod gives you new (wearable) jackets and coats:
- Bomber jacket
- High School Teddy
- Winter jacket
- Maxson's combat jacket
- Journalist coat
- Maxson's cloak
Optional content:
I've created an optional plugin to make them compatible with the Crafting Workbenches mod. You'll find them in the clothing category. They require some components.
- Bomber jacket: 5 types of leather + 2 types of adhesive
- Highschool Teddy G&Y (Green & Yellow): 5 types of leather + 2 types of adhesive
- Highschool Teddy W&R (White & Red): 5 types of leather + 2 types of adhesive
- Winter jacket: 5 pieces + 2 adhesives
- Maxon's jacket: 15 types of leather + 10 types of adhesives + 7 types of aluminum + 7 types of steel + 1 type of ballistic fiber
- Maxon's Cloak: 2 pieces of clothing + 1 adhesive
- Kells' coat: 5 leathers + 2 adhesives
If you are not using Crafting Workbench, you can add them via the console command:
Type: Help Jacket 4
Then: player.additem (the ID of the coat you want)
Either
Type: Help Jacket 4
Then: player.additem (the jacket id you want)
Either
Type: Help Cloak 4
Then: player.additem (the cloak ID you want)
(Replace XX with the loading order of the plugin)
Since they are replacing parts of your upper armor, I would make them a little better than their vanilla counterparts.
If you have any suggestions, please feel free to post them in the comments section.
Optional fixes:
New optional plugins added to Downloads section. Keep in mind this is an attempt to fix some bugs like cut/high shoulders/fat arms (mostly for women).
Choose 1 of 3 optional plugins.
The first plugin is the original version. It is already compatible with Armorsmith Extended.
The second addon is a compatibility fix for more armor slots.
Compatibility patches
Patches for layerable apparel can be found directly in the Downloads section of the Layerable Apparel mod. It also contains optional fixes. Go for it -> here.
CBBE conversion
The mod now has an optional package that contains all the files needed by cbbe users. Choose a JacketMod group and batch build everything with your own presets.
You can still use CBBE conversion with RustyXXL here
Add your own custom textures! :
With the new version (1.15+) you can now add your own textures to all jackets and coats. To do this, here is a step-by-step guide:
- Go to the folder Data/Textures/Clothes/JacketMod/Custom
- Open the folder for the specific clothes you want
- Delete the texture and rename it to: custom_d.dds (diffuse texture)
custom_n.dds (normal texture)
custom_s.dds (smooth mirror texture)
That’s all. You can now launch your game and craft your jacket in the Outfit Workbench/Outfit 4 - Customize Jacket
Or add it using console command.
You can also find rexteture of many jackets/coats made by the community
Nervod1138 Reshape of Leather Jacket: Dark recolor of leather jacket from Commonwealth Coats and Coats
Install:
Drag and drop "jacket.esp" into the data folder
Drag and drop mesh, material and texture folders into the data folder
Only when using the Crafting Workbench mod (load it after jacket.esp and craftworking workbenches.esp), drag and drop "Crafting Workbench - Jacket.esp"
uninstall:
Delete "jacket.esp" and "Crafting Workbench - Jacket.esp"
Delete all "JacketMod" folders located at:
- data/grid/clothes
- Data/Materials/Clothes
- Data/Texture/Clothes
Known errors:
Jackets and Coats only show upgrade modules in your inventory. You can still make a leather breastplate and apply it to the coat you want.
Kyle's jacket/reporter jacket has some unflattering outerwear (fat ass and big boobs).
Sometimes, the game forgets to layer, so the jacket doesn't cover your gear properly. This is what happens if you suddenly choose to wear a hat. The easy fix is to unpack/refit your jacket.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
