[ describe ]
Tired of being a general without an army, a sentry without backup, and a director without authority? Fallout Commander or FCOM puts you in control of faction troops, making these empty titles mean something. Gather troops, organize them into squads, issue orders, and lead them onto the battlefield. Keep your troops alive and watch them gain veteran skills, unlock powerful talent bonuses, and fight alongside you. Then fire them, set a home location, or turn them into settlers. The choice is yours, Commander.
Install
Afterwards, two new items will be added to your inventory, the "WesTek Command Radio" under Assistance Items and the "Command Radio Field Manual" holographic tape under Other Items. The command radio is what you use to operate the mod and control unit, and the manual contains some basic operating instructions and usage of the mod. You can also craft these items at the Chemistry Workbench.

FCOM is inspired by J3X's classic Enclave Commander mod for Fallout 3 and RickerHK's excellent New Vegas adaptation.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
