Preface
Nothing embodies the feeling of post-apocalyptic survival better than spending your precious free time trapped in a rusty metal box, waiting for two-hundred-year-old machinery to complete its simulated journey. Because when the world becomes a nuclear wasteland full of super mutants and deathclaws, what players really crave is that authentic and time-consuming slow-elevator experience.
Overview
This experimental mod bypasses the cumbersome elevator car simulation and allows the player character to instantly switch to the destination (next level).
By default, the game teleports the player character to a dedicated internal cell, the elevator simulates movement, and the game loads the next cell/level in the background. This mod will clear that specific transition unit reference. Since the engine cannot force the player into a simulated unit, operating the elevator button triggers a standard door switching sequence (e.g. teleporting using an object prompt).
Exclude elevators:
Vault 111 Elevator
College elevator

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
