About this mod Machine translation
FAR optimizes and improves over 6000 long-range land textures, which means higher performance and more stuttering
Free to try. Other mods will only edit one or two textures, but I've gone the extra mile
Be as detailed as possible. For some reason Bethesda made a big mistake saving their distant land textures
and use them twice as much memory as needed. This mod also fixes while adding said extra details.
NOTE: There are no issues with Nuka World and Far Harbor distant land textures.
VERSIONS
Default = 512x512, with some 256x256 pixel files (no noticeable quality loss), quality 170kb/47kb.
Reduced = 256x256 pixel file, quality 47kb (same as Skyrim).
The minified file also contains the full size noise texture (two textures, 1024x1024 pixels), so you'd expect that
There will be no way to differentiate between each version. I hope this makes the reduction less noticeable
while still maintaining performance advantages over the default size.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
