About this mod Machine translation
NOTE: I may not be able to help with people's save file issues at the moment. I had just started a new job and I was balancing managing chronic health issues. I still try to handle bugs in FallrimTools.
Fallout 4 special attention!!!
Unattached instances are a normal part of how Fallout 4 operates. I suggest you don't clean them until I figure out how to differentiate between what's still being used and what's not.
All new information and updates will be posted on the Skyrim Special Edition website. But don't worry, Skyrim Legendary and Fallout 4 will always be actively supported.
FallrimTools
This software is free and open source and always will be.
Thanks to everyone who tested the tool and reported issues!
Special thanks to flexcreator - the creator of Script Scalpel - for writing such a great tool and for giving me access to the Script Scalpel source code.
It includes ReSaver - a savefile cleaner.
It includes other tools from the past and may be used again in the future.
Require
Java is a requirement - ReSaver is written entirely in Java.
It is highly recommended to use Mod Organizer to manage mods and savegame directories. I'll try to add explicit support for the Mod Manager at some point - especially now that it's likely to be the main mod manager for the Skyrim/Fallout universe.
what you can do to help
Test tool! Report any issues! Report any worries!
Try using ReSaver to clean up some save games and see if the new tool works properly.
Play with this tool and try to make it crash in exciting ways. Let me know how you crash it.
Use the user interface to find problems or annoyances.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
