Fallout 4 Wheel Menu wheel menu

The default configuration is the VIS-G project sorting module. If you use another sorting mode (or Horizon), you must configure it before using it (see the Configuring the Roulette Menu section) or wait for a new version that includes presets for other sorting models/vanilla games.

Require:

1)F4SE

2)DEF_UI

  • Sort mode (optional, but without it you will be limited to various menu categories)

Installation/Usage:

  • Install via mod manager/manually
  • Press the G key to open/close the menu

Configure the roulette menu:

  • See Interface/WHEEL_MENU/conf.xml. This file should be interpreted yourself for modification. To take advantage of tagging mode, the sorting model must be installed. Otherwise, use category mode to perform a default menu sorting based on item keywords.

The wheel menu is now only configured for the VIS-G project sorting module. I will add configuration presets for other sorting mods (including Horizon and vanilla) later.

Questions/Comments/TODO/etc:

  • The left and right menu parts are independent of each other. For example, you can have 5 left sections and only 2 right sections.
  • The number of sections is unlimited, but I wouldn't add more than 5-6 per pane due to icon clipping.
  • The maximum number of items in the container list is 16. I was too lazy to implement scrolling too. maybe later
  • Menu only tested for 1920x1080 and 3440x1440 resolutions
  • The menu should be in the center of the screen, but can be moved left/up/etc... I will add the ability to specify the position offset
  • The mod has MCM menu and hotkey options but for some reason I can't get it to work. Now using hardcoded G key

Configuring Wheel Menu:

  • See Interface/WHEEL_MENU/conf.xml. This file should be self-explained to modify. To leverage tag patterns, you must have sorting mod installed. Otherwise use category pattern to perform default menu sorting based on item keywords.

For now Wheel Menu is configured for only VIS-G item sorting mod. I'm going to add configuration presets for other sorting mods (including Horizon and vanilla) later.

  • Mod has MCM menu with hotkey option, but for some reason i wasn't able to get it work. Use hardcoded G key for now

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
