About this mod Machine translation
Tired of having to manually check for the latest version of F4SE, download it and extract it to your Fallout 4 folder?
Me too, I want to automate this so that it can be set as a scheduled task once a month or run as needed.
This is a batch file, but requires the following programs to run effectively:
Wget is a command line website downloader, parser, etc.
Or if you use Chocolatey like me. You can install it from here.
This also requires 7zip to be installed. You can get it from the following website
Either
Once the installation is complete, the folder paths in the batch file need to be modified to point to the correct folder for each required file and for Fallout 4 itself.
There is also a logging feature if you wish to enable it to help diagnose any problems you may have with this batch file.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
