Hairspray - A Hair Color Overhaul (Fallout 4 Edition Hair Color Overhaul

Overview

This is my Fallout 76 Mod, the (technically) downgrade of Hairspray.

what is this for

This is a texture replacement for the Vanilla Hair Color Gradient map, which is the map the game uses to pick hair colors. This will affect all hair colors (including those unlocked with the Nuka World DLC). It doesn't have any ESP as it's unnecessary and should work for any mod that doesn't touch the same file.

Even though it does affect Nuka World's added hair color, you don't need it to run this mod, you just can't use the extra hair color that's added. This is just to clear up any potential confusion as to why you might not see all the colors added.

some notes

Depending on the hair texture you use, the color may appear lighter or darker than what you see here. I tried to keep the color within range to show up correctly on vanilla textured hair but still look lively. Also note that your ENB settings will also change how these colors are displayed.

For those who are curious, I'm using GHOST ENB (NAC VERSION). The footage shown will not be edited, I can upload pictures of my ENB setup if needed.

Overview

This is a (Technically) Downport of my Fallout 76 Mod, Hairspray.

What this does

This is a texture replacement for the Vanilla Hair Colour Gradient map, which is what the game uses to pick your hair colours. This will affect all hair colours (Including the ones that unlock with the Nuka World DLC). It doesn't have any ESP, as it was unnecessary and should work with any mods that don't touch this same file.

Even though it does affect Nuka World's added hair colours, you do not need it to run this mod, you just won't be able to use the extra hair colours added in. This is just stated to clear any potential confusion as to why you may not see all the colours added in.

Some Notes

Depending on your the texture to the hair you use, The colours may show up lighter or darker than seen here. I tried to keep the colours in range to show up correctly on Vanilla Textured hairs but still look vivid and lively. Also to note, your ENB setup will also alter the way these colours show up.

For those curious, I am using GHOST ENB (NAC VERSION). The shots shown are not edited and if desired I can upload a pic of my ENB settings.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
